Updated 5-28-08 New version, fixed all known bugs:
It’s a WordPress Plugin that pops your Entrecard up to the top middle of the page when a user comes from a an Entrecard surfing site, other wise it stays where you put it.
That’s it!
Okay, that’s cool! Just palce this code in your theme file where you want it:

Fantastic plugin! Love to see useful stuff like this instead of the usual “top dropper” nonsense.

I didn’t use the widget I just put a pop call in the header. But it always seems to be there even if I log out of entrecard. And I hate the huge yellow strip across the top. Am I doing something wrong?
Sorry Colleen, this was the first release and users are finding all the bugs. I’m working on an update now and should have a new version done in about an hour.

We also have experienced the same bug on our blog, that’s why we disabled it for now.

I love this plugin, but one thing worries me…does it pop up, people drop and then don’t comment or read anything? Have you noticed any difference in your comment rate?
Carol, I haven’t really notice a differents in comments but my received drops as jumped way up.
This post is fantastic, so that the visitors would likely stay for while in our site?
Great plugin, with this, it will make entrecard more noticeable.

Hi there,
Cool little plugin. The only problem I have with it is that the “close” link is set up to reload the entire page. I understand this was done so that the entrecard widget could be placed back in it’s normal location, but it could cause problems with stats programs as far as inflating pageviews.
A better way is to use onClick
Close(X)This way the page does not reload. Yes, the entrecard widget does not get replaced in it’s normal location, but it shouldn’t matter since entracard users who are just on a dropping fenzy have already had their chance anyway, they don’t need to see it again.

Hi, the popper seems like a really nice widget. Do you know if there’s anyway to put an entrecard widget on a wordpress.com blog? I’ve tried and wordpress (.com) doesn’t seem to allow this?

go to your dashboard then design->widget
Add a text widget to your sidebar and paste your card code into that widget.
I doubt WordPress will add my plugin to their hosted service.

What a GREAT plugin! Thanks for the work on it. I hope it will encourage people to drop (and stay around because they are intrigued that I made it so easy on them…).
It is SO cool. It really helped me with not wanting the EC thing to be so obvious to non-EC-ers, but wanting it visible for droppers.
