WordPress needs your help
Do you use WordPress to make a living? If so you should thank of giving back to the community. There are many ways you can do this. What follows is just a quick listing of ways you can help.
Free Themes
I’m listing this one first because it’s what I do most. Creating themes for WordPress extends its reach. The more choices a user has in the look and feel of their site the more likely they’ll be to use and gain the benefits of WordPress.
Support
Helping other users gives me a high. There is no shortage of ways you can help WordPress users. The first is helping others in the WordPress forums.
If you are more of a real time person you might want to help out in the irc chat room for WordPress. I find myself spending a great deal of time there.
Plugins
Have an idea that would improve, extend or change the way WordPress works. Try making your own plugin to share with the world.
Get the word out
Post a topic to your own blog about WordPress. Something you’ve learn, or just how much you love it.

Great post. I’ve designed a few themes myself, partially to give back to the community and partially to improve my design skills.
I’ve only just recently decided to start putting together little pieces of code I use on my blog for more developed plugins.
I only wish I had a little more time to hang around the support forums over at WordPress.org.
