promtOkay so your trying to XAMPP running but it will not start. Here is a quick way to find out why it won’t start. Open the command prmt ad cd to the directory your XAMPP reside.

In my case:

C:\>l:

Then cd to the dir
L:\>cd xampplite

Now start XAMPP L:\xampplite>xampp_start.exe

Hopefully this helps someone. Please contribute below with your comments.

  1. It starts off helpful. I get the message:
“This application has failed to start because
MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the
application may fix this problem.” I have re -
installed on different computers but I see the
    same problem.

Please help. Thank you in advance.

    Con.
