Last night I discovered that the blogs commenting feature was not working. It is now fixed. In addition I have installed a plug-in called LinkLove. Here’s a description of this plug-in from the designers website:
Link love is a WordPress plugin which turns off nofollow for all commenters who have posted at least 10 comments.
The number of comments is configurable by changing a variable in the plug-in
I have set the variable to 3. The reason I chose to do this is simply because I want MyBlogIt to be more of a community. So when you post more than 3 comments on any topic(s), your site will be spidered by the search engines when MyBlogIt gets spidered.
I will also be installing Top Commenters Plugin. Here is a description provided by the designer:
This plugin will add a list of the most frequent commenters posting to your blog. They are gathered in descending order (highest number of comments at the top) The list items will be links to the comment author’s URL, if provided.
I will install this in a few days, only because I have very few comments on my blog at the moment.
Second Change:
MyBlogIt is now using FeedBurner for our RSS feed, so that we can more accurately track subscriber statistics. So if you would like to subscribe here’s the link. Rss Feed
