Replacing defualt theme logo
Many times when a theme designer set out to create the next great theme the over look the fact that you do not know how to change their logo for yours. Some even goes as far as to embedding the logo into a larger image in the header. Trust me they are not trying to be evil, (in most cases anyway.) The just don’t realize that not everyone is as versed with image editing as they themselves are.
So I will show you the very basic steps to update you newly found theme with your own logo.
UPDATED with video here You should still read this post, I missed a few points in the video.
I will be using a theme by Moses Francis from his site WPThemesPlugin
called fourWPTP
The first step is to open the image in your preferred image editing software. I’ll use fireworks as it is mine.
The first step is to replicate the background. I do this by taking a small slice from the end of the image.
Now I cut the image and create a new image with same dimensions as the first. Then I copy my new slice
& stretch it to cover the entire image.
Now design your new logo on a new layer. The last step is to save the file with the same name as the old one, in the same directory.
It’s really a very simple solution for something that is a very common question.

How do you change the header on the cleverly clean theme? I don’t see any images in the actual image folder.
That theme has no header image.
is it possible to add a header image to it? and if so, please tell me how to. Thanks in advance.
Is there anyway to make the logo longer? how would you change the length?
Linz, Depending on the theme you maybe able to change the logo with your image editing software. but depending on the theme… you may need to make a change to html or style sheet.
First look in the header.php file and see if the image tag has size listed, if not check the style.css.
But first just try and resize it in you image editor.
